Children’s Classes and Worship

Teaching young people God’s truth is a vital part of who we are at Cross Timbers. We are blessed as a church to have unusually gifted teachers in our children’s classes! On Sunday mornings, we offer Children’s Church (up to 3rd grade) during the 9:30 service and Sunday school for all ages in the 10:45 hour. On Wednesday Nights we offer classes for all children, teens, and adults starting at 7:00pm. There is also a Nursery available during all service times.

During the 9:30 Worship service:

Children are invited to participate in a worship service appropriate for their age. This will include singing, prayer, Bible study, and hands-on learning activities. This includes:

Children’s Church – Ages 4 to 3rd Grade

Wee Worship – Ages 2-4

Nursery – Birth to 2

Sunday School from 10:45 to 11:50:D6

We offer Sunday School classes for all ages during this hour. Our Sunday School program strives to get the entire family “on the same page” spiritually by using the D6 curriculum. This approach is taken from Deuteronomy chapter 6’s instructions to “impress” God’s word on our children and to talk about it when we “sit at home.” In an effort to do this, the children and adult classes are on the same topic, but they will be taught using age-appropriate curriculum. We are excited about partnering with parents in starting conversations about God that carry over into the home. For more information on D6 click here.

Wednesday Night Program: 6:30-7:30

We offer classes for children of all ages on Wednesday Night. For Children K-6, we use this time to promote Scripture memorization and teach music. Children enjoy the variety of activities happening on Wednesday Night.
